I was born and raised in the great city of Austin, TX by great parents and with a fabulous sister.   My extroverted personality surfaced quickly in 2 year old performances of monologues, etc.

In high school I was active in Theater, Choir, Drill Team, Debate, Softball, and my church youth group and choir.   I was awarded the Optimists’ Club, Austin wide award for Theater after being nominated by my high school theater coach.

By 18 I was ready to get into beauty pageants, so after placing in the top 5 at the Miss Austin USA Pageant in 2001, I chose Miss. Pflugerville as my title and raised all the money for my dress, and entry fees by myself cold calling my favorite shopping centers selling ad space in the brochure.  We were beginning to think that sales may be in my future.    At the Miss Texas USA Pageant in Lubbock, TX in 2002 I was awarded the only award voted on by the contestants: “Miss Congeniality”.

My Psychology degree is from University of Texas, Arlington with a minor in Communications.  After being elected to the executive committee of my Greek sorority,  ZTA, my photography love took off even more.   It was as Historian that I also wrote and designed my first website.  It was more likely to have been compared to MySpace back then ~ but it was a similar concept.  The site was helpful in calendar coordination, reminders for events, posted meeting minute notes, ordering T-Shirts for events, signing up for events, and voting for executive committee.  It was a roles based SaaS.   I was active in leading a school wide petition to get the football team back at UT Arlington.  With a majority of the class having signed my petition after 7 months,  the school did revive the football program.

After college, I stayed in the area moving to Dallas where I spent the next 3 years in outside software and copier sales.

Shortly after,  I took a wedding video editing position in California.   I loved it there and was lucky enough to have lived in San Diego, La Quinta, and Riverside.

Since moving back to Austin, I have stayed busy in always one of the two, or both industries of Videography and Sales/Marketing.

I am a full time wedding videographer/ photographer but have been branching out on my own with more contract shoots, such as this would be. I will want to meet you via skype, phone or in person at a Starbucks near you, if possible, the sooner the better, to discuss details and your desired outcome for the shoot such as favorite shots you have from my collection, or poses that you have see online.

I look forward to our first coffee meeting.    Contact me through any of the links on the Contact page on this site.
